OK, I've figured part of DSL out, and from what I've seen so far, it's nothing short of amazing. I've even shown it to a couple of people, and one of them wants a CD of their own to begin their learrning and use of it.
Here's my question: I tried to copy a file from the ram drive to the hard drive in Emelfm, but kept getting the message "Permission denied",  and I've noticed other references to  "root" and "super user". So how do I get  permission to do things on my own computer?? Any help is greatly appreciated.

froggg, If you want to set that folder in HDD to be able to write for DSL user, please follow these steps:-
- use emelFM as super-user
- select that folder ... right click ... Properties ... Permissions ... make sure User Write is active ... Ok
- select that folder ... right click ... Properties ... User/Group ... User: DSL ... Group: Staff ... Ok
- use emelFM (User: DSL) ... make a copy that you wanted
Good luck :D
