Somehow my DSL user has lost the ability to run Firefox.  When I try to run it the application does not launch.

The icon is pointing correctly and i tried to run it directly but will not run.

I can run Firefox as root or as a normal user.

Also I was wondering how a can run as a normal user and still be able to use the applications I installed as DSL user.

try this test, rename your hidden .mozilla folder to .mozilla.old and then try to run firefox. also what does it say if you run firefox in terminal.
