Hi,

I'd like to incorporate some of the extensions I see on GNU mirrors.  But after downloading and untarring them, I'm left with:

1.  The CD I already have with my burned-in ISO of the latest DSL distro.
2.  The untarred extension package of what I would like to add into the distro.

How do I reconcile the two.  Do I burn a new CD?  If so, with what?  The ISO from DSL--but how do I get the new package into the deal?

Thanks for any help.

There's no reason to extract the package unless you plan to make changes to it.  In fact you could potentially cause problems for your system if you inject an uncompressed mydsl into it, due to changes in file ownerships.
