hey...i've got a (maybe) stupid question. How do I use .uci ? I mean things like e17. There is a .uci for that but what is it for? why isn't it just a .dsl. When I install the uci it is there until I reboot -.- Do I have to install it every single time I reboot =/ ?

If it's in your mydsl folder, it will be mounted automatically on boot. Also if you have a hd-install and want it permanently installed, just mount it, copy the contents, unmount it, and move the copied contents to the original place (ie /opt/something)..

As lucky said in your other post, you're asking a lot of questions that are answered in the wiki, on the "getting started" page, and in the faq. You'll find these answers a lot more quickly by reading those documents than by posting and waiting for an answer.

The mydsl folder is a directory you create which holds mydsl packages to auto-install when you boot a frugal/embedded/liveCD DSL system. If the directory is named "mydsl" and is located at the top level of an available disk, it should be automatically found. Otherwise you can specify a location with the boot option "mydsl=<device>" or "mydsl=<device></path/to/directory>".
For example, "mydsl=hda4/home/dsl/mydsl"
