Speaker, Your sources.list file should work just fine. Make sure you've run dpkg-restore, and apt-get update. Then it should work to apt-get install evolution. It's huge though...
I don't have any experience with anything other than Evolution myself, so I can't be of much help. You could try looking for a web-based groupware (something like http://phorecast.org/ ). You could install php and mysql to DSL with MonkeyD, and run it locally. Or, you could install it on a web account, and have access to it wherever you go. Quick n Dirty solution, just use Yahoo Mail's address book? (yuck, I'm sorry I even thought that... *feels dirty*)
