if you downloaded opera from the MyDSL repositor,y you do NOT unpack the file.
instead. you start emelfm navigate to the opera6.1.2.tar.gz and press the myDSL button. the opera gets installd by its self.
AND
read "Getting Stated with DSL" from the first letter to the last dot.
Pay special atention to "myDSL - Seamless Extensions for DSL"
btw if you are a livecd user and you forget to use filetool.lst and backup/restore. all you save to /home will begone next time you reboot
