Most email readers automagically encode urls in plaintext email into clickable links, so you should be able to add whatever urls you want to your signature and they should still work, e.g.
-- My Website http://grimthing.com/
See, the url is now clickable, I didn't add any html, the forums took care of it. Most email clients do the same thing.
<OPINION> That being said, html email is horrible for any number of reasons. It's wasteful, it's one of the primary methods of spreading virii and spyware, and it's a spammers wet dream. I think it would be an understatement to call html email a `pox on humanity', I wrote a semi-humorous article on it once, and I hope it might convince you to give that html email shit up. </OPINION>
