I used to use Freesco and it was quite  cool for a floppy firewall, but after I lost the third power supply in my old Pentium 66 w/ 24MB Ram and I couldn't get the next version of Freesco to work for me I looked around and found IPCop.   WOW!!! I read about it's rift and fork from Smoothwall and understood their frustrations.  I read deeply about it and liked their firm foundations and goals.  It's been running my broadband connection for about a year or almost 1 1/2 yrs now.  I've used the 1.3.0 stable since it came out last April.  It's easy to patch, easy to maintain and has lots of features.   Now I run on a P-166 w/ 64MB ram and a 2GB drive and it's overkill.  I just need to pull out an old ISA 10 Mb NIC and replace it w/ a 100Mb so that I have 2 100Mb in there.  I also just put in a UPS so the firewall doesn't go down when the power flickers.

I figured out my powersupply problem.  I had the box too close to the ceiling in my basement and it was overheating.

Ok. Is there just a simple way to block ips? Incoming AND outgoing connections.
