I use SciTE, since I already know how to write HTML, and just want an editor that works well with that. One would not want to use Abiword. In KDE, one can use Kate, it is very good. The latest DSL has the Beaver editor, it is really nice, and works will with hand written HTML. Of course one is going to do a lot of copy and paste from your existing html examples. and both Beaver and SciTE do that accurately. At one time, I used Gnotepad, and did include it in one of my remasters of DSL, along with Gftp. Gnotepad works well, but not as well as Beaver. I found it makes some mistakes on the copy/paste operations. I always configure Emelfm to call Scite when I want a page edited, that way lots of time is saved. DSL does it that way, too. --- On another note, I have been over to the SLAX Linux site, testing and playing with that distro. Does sound very well, the drivers are better than XP's, I think.
