OK I've done a search and not found anything, maybe it's really easy but before I spend hours trying to figure it out....... is it possible/how do you get Edna to stream to pocket PC on a PDA?

I have edna running on a DSL box quite happily. From other PCs on the network,  I can quite happily listen to mp3s from edna, no problem at all. I also have an Ipaq PDA running windows pocket pc 2003 with the pocket version of media player, it also has built in wi-fi wireless networking.  If I browse to the edna page from IE on the pocket PC, the page loads but clicking the links just wants to save the m3u file (as if it dosent know what to do with it)..... and if I go through pocket media player, I cant see any way of pointing it at edna's streams......

has anyone done this? or is it going to be impossible?

I stream to my HP 720 all the time via a wireless card.  It sits on top of my TV.  The batteries died about a year ago so I just keep the power adapter plugged in.  Just point the browser to my PC running edna.  I can also pickup stations on shoutcast.

It has the pocket version of Windows Media player but I usually use either WinAmPaq or GSPlayer instead since they support m3u lists.

One little warning with GSPlayer.  It seems to only play CBR encoded mp3.  (VBR doesn't play).

Also, for some reason when I try to shut down the program (using the X or menu Exit function) it doesn't want to shut down.  So I end up either using (ALt-Ctrl-Delete) or do a cold boot of the HP720.  You might not have this problem on an iPaq though.

Another player I've downloaded but haven't tried yet is PocketMVP.

If you come across something that supports VBR, make a post to the forum please.
