I will try setting the root password this evening... but then if somebody boots from a CD, doesn't set a root password, connects to the internet, could some hacker hack into his system? Well, if it is a CD only system it might not be a big deal but if the system has a hard disk (like in my case) the hacker could mount partitions and....

mydsl-load XFree86.dsl.

my synaptics touchpad works perfect with the XConfig-4.vesa configuration file.
