Hi,
Is there some way to make a mydsl CD that is exactly the same as my current settings. So on boot, the current theme im using would be there, settings i have changed for rox (file manager extension) will be the same as i left them etc. Prettymuch i want nothing changed, i want exactly what i have on my screen now. Is this possible, and/or is this wat happens when i make a mydsl iso??

Pretty sure you are talking about a remaster.  My linux comp. is broken but I'm pretty sure in the right-click menu it's under apps --> tools --> make mydsl remaster.  I think that has a script to make an iso.

When you backup, then restart, are things "how you want them" ?

If so, then add your backup.tar.gz file, renamed to mybackup.tar.gz,
to your mydsl.iso.  It should behave as you expect.

With DSL1.3.1 you click on the DSL tools icon and there is a button for BackUp/Restore. Click the button and it will ask where you want to backup to. I like to backup to a pendrive (sda1) but you could rewrite to a CD or the hardrive or whatever. When you do it creates a compressed file with all of your changes in it to that drive/directory. That's very cool.
