I'm trying to get the xawtvdebs.dsl extension from the testing page to work. I've installed the dsl-dpkg.dsl as stated in the info file.
After running -mydsl menu-xawtv install- , I am able to open the program with -run program-xawtv. It opens up and the sound works, but the screen is black no matter what settings I change. Oddly... when I hit j to take a screen capture from within the program-the resulting .jpg file shows a picture (not black). Also, as I close xawtv-I can see a picture for a fraction of a second.
In Knoppix xawtv works fine for me, so I'm thinking it's something with DSL?
Any Ideas?
A search of the forums turned up a suggestion of installing the xfree86.dsl, anyone know if this is necessary in addition to dsl-dpkg.dsl?
Anyone else able to watch tv with xawtv?
