I am new to linux and i have been running DSL of the live disk, then  i tried to put it on my thumb drive. i have tried both of the formats. it begins to boot and then after it detects the usb drive where it is suppose to verify the other hardway it halts and sits there for a minute or two then a big long list of white text scrolls down the screen. Most of which say error at the end. is there some thing that i can do to get it to boot? But if i boot toram it will start. can i save my setting if i use boot to ram?
