I am new to DSL so my advice might not be the best. If you are running from a pen drive and install 15G of software it will run out of room. It might work if you have room on your harddrive. Open up emelfm and do some double clicking in the /mnt directory to see what harddrives to mount (should be like hda1 or something like that) Click on it and do a right mouse button and select mount from the menu. Now click on DF in the lower right corner to see if you have 15G. To mount your cdrom you would go to /mnt/auto/cdrom and mount just like the harddrive. To get to root I think you can do sudo su or better right click on emelfm and select open as superuser. I don't know what your software does but DSL is trimmed down and might not run it. Tell us if it works. |
Ok.. My hard drive is ready. I have 25 GB available.
I found emelfm. Now, for the other... How do I specify a directory?
