Are there any other USB options in your bios? e.g usb keyboard support ? Does the bios say anything about detecting a USB-mass-storage device when booting? Does the pendrive light blink? Are there any sub-options from the HD-boot menu? If you have exhausted all USB options in your bios, I'm afraid your motherboard may not be able to boot from USB. The floppy-boot is usually quite reliable, did you try the USB-boot-floppy instead of the Standard-boot-floppy?
