Ok so if I have a older laptop that will not boot from usb is there a way to fool it into thinking an image on a usb is actually a floppy boot? Is this what the bootfloppy-usb.iso is? SO far I managed to get a usable usb-zib and usb-hdd to work on my main box but they are not supported on my laptop. Im trying to figure out the best way to make it so I can bring my copy of DSL with me anywhere and have it boot up. Am I right in my assumption about the bootflooppy-usb.iso image and if so how do I get it onto the thumb drive, do I just copy the file to the thumbdrive or will this image only show up on a floppy disk? Sorry if some of these questions are a little basic im still pretty new to Linux. Thanks for the help!

I think you mean the .img, which can be used to make a boot floppy.

I think it searches for the media on usb, but you boot via floppy.
