Now I went back to fat16. Plugged in the stick before I booted from CD. Then I "insmoded" ehci-hcd.
Now I get following dmesg (also with some boot messages):

Still getting:

when I mount sda (sda entry in fstab exists). And cdrecord --scanbus gets me the same output than before.
