!!! At this point, i think system specs are really irrelivent. !!!
(all statements made belore are true for CD and USB boot)
When trying to boot DSL 1.4, the screen blanks shortly after pressing "enter to boot". If i boot with the FAILSAFE option, i finally get some output, only to discover "SMP motherboard not detected". SOOOoo, i go into the BIOS and enable APIC mode. Well, that solved the "SMP" problem, but i still recieve the message
ESR value before enabling vector: 00000002
and im stuck.......
if it matters, i do have to use the boot floppy to boot from USB, but not from CD, and, i have also tried booting with "noapm", and it gets me nothing.
i suppose you would need to know that i have only 1(one) AMD CPU in this box, and the MoBo only has room for 1
