Yeah, so the point is that I want to be able to boot DSL from my Lexar 1GB, but when I did the LiveCD for DSL on my comp, it couldnt connect to the internet. I tryed running netcardconfig, but it said there werent any that it recogized. So is this a simple incompatibilty issue that cant be fixed, or is there something I can do? If you like, you can point me in the direction of a more relevant section of the forums, but I already tryed to look for instructions on how to connect to the internet and was unsuccesful. Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

What kind of network card do you have?  What kind of network are you trying to connect to?  Do you have a router, server, or any type of DHCP server or do you need a static IP?

Marvell Yukon 88E8001/8003/8010 Gigabit Ethernet Adapter

I have a router, and my computer is directly connected by ethernet to the router.

DSL doesn't currently support this card.  According to cbagger01 the only way to add support for this card is a total recompile.  That really sucks.  If you really, really   want DSL on this machine you might want to go to your local computer store and pick a generic $10 NIC (10/100).
