hi, i am a new dsl user, so forgive me for asking simple questions.

i use (boot up) dsl embedded from my usb flash drive, by clicking on the .bat file.

everything works quite well, and i really enjoy the portability.

however, i think i want to install openoffice, so that it will be automatically available whenever i boot up by clicking on the .bat file.

how can i install openoffice to the dsl embedded, so that it becomes a permanant part of the system that is available to use when i boot up (i.e., same as other apps such as firefox, sylpheed, dillo, etc) ????

i cannot make this work, and i have tried.

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated !!

regards,
kenzo

I have this problem too.

I extracted dsl-2.2-embedded.zip to my 1 GB SD card.  DSL runs embedded from windows ok.

I then downloaded openoffice-1.1.4.tar.gz and put it into /cdrom/optional but I do not see it anywhere when I run DSL embedded.

How can I load optional programs?
