Hi all,

This DSL is really great and I use it more and where previsiously it was not possible to use a linux system. Here is my problem: I would like to edit system files like hosts. This doesn't seem possible, but I do need this to customize my DSL and access special apps. Any idea welcome...

If you are using a frugal install, then dsl host=xxxx is a boot option. There are many boot options. Use f2 and f3 keys to see them on bootup.

Thank for your update. I use embeded and the host=xxx will only change my host name but won't add lines to my hosts file. Anyway I also have to touch other files like resolv.conf.
