I'm running DSL 2.2 from a flash drive through windows with QEMU. When I boot up DSL there is no sound. I'm booting with the following command in windows:
qemu.exe -L . -m 192 -hda dsl.img -boot c -localtime
I have no sound whatsoever, I've tried it on multiple machines. I tried the following command but it said it was invalid
qemu.exe -L . -m 192 -hda dsl.img -boot c -enable-audio -localtime
Any help or suggestions would be great.
Also, could somebody point me in the direction of a newbies guide to using Linux? I really have no idea what I'm doing here. How do I open other files on my flashdrive, and is it possible to open ones on the actual HDD?
Lastly, excuse my ignorance but what good is a computer with no CD drive or HDD such as the Damn Small Machine?
Thanks
EDIT: Now I'm getting an error box thorugh xmmx which says "Couldn't open audio: Please check that: 1. You have the correct output plugin selected 2. No other program is blocking the soundcard 3. Your soundcard is configured properly"
The sound works fine from within windows, and no othe program should be using the soundcard, so I am at a loss here.
