I downloaded it. It worked fine. I shut it down. Now I cannot find any trace of it on my computer. Would you know what file it unzips to? I'm using it with XP - right from the harddrive.

If you use the integrated XP zip folder in explorer, afaik it will use some temp directory ( %temp% maybe ).  It also couldve been deleted already.

I was using firefox when I downloaded it - would that make a difference? If I need to re-download it, what file should it be saved to? Or would I have to do something with partitions. It seemed to partition, itself. That file that starts with "q", I found it in a search but couldn't get to it - does that mean that the files are still viable? Why would a 50 mg file erase itself?

Both your posts combined are confusing...
First you asked where it unzips to.
Then you ask where you downloaded it?!

Please use some sort of Save As option when you download, and save it to a location you know where it is.

I don't get how the rest of your post is relevant...
did you mean 'q' as in 'qemu'?

Yeah that was the q thing - so if there is a reference to it still on the harddrive - is the 50 mg file somewhere still on the harddrive? c, I downloaded from a dial-up connection(which took a lot of time, obviously) and I've never experienced losing such a large file before for apparently no reason. Where I save the file to when I download is irrelevant because I just click on the icon for it to extract. Is there a way to divert it from going to the temp file during it's extraction process-to go somewhere instead where it will actually be present.
