For the sake of getting this thread in the right place...I am reposting my problem.

Original Thread in User Feedback

I can ping the host computer...but, not beyond.  Wondering if there is any setup required to be able to get to the network my host is connected to.

so, maybe i just need to add the route:

Code Sample
route add default gw 'host_ip'

or

Code Sample
route add default gw 'host's gw ip'

I'll have to try it...

Perhaps you need to add the route to windows...do you have a firewall on the box?

When using the default -user-net You are not going to be able to ping outside. You can ping the builtin dhcp server of 10.0.2.2. Usually the virtual machine is asigned 10.0.2.15. Then using the already established Windows net stack you should be able to use browsers, email and other net clients. You will not have the same IP as the hosting OS.

Try going to the DSL control panel and netcard config..tell it to dhcp again and it should work
