ok, I tried to follow the instructions reguarding the installation of dsl on a usb drive, and I think I got it right, Although.... when I try to startup dsl through Qemu I get the following error: Code Sample | SYSLINUX 2.04 (Debian, 2003-06-06) Boot Failed |
I used WinImage to write the boot-0.8.0.img to the drive, and it resized it(so it said), now the files are still visible(does that matter?) then I opened the dsl.iso with WinRar and 'drag and dropped' the files onto the drive so now I have H:\KNOPPIX\ that is also the directory I placed the files for qemu(should they be somewhere else?) and i am trying to boot the boot.img file in the H:\KNOPPIX\ directory using the following batch shortcut: Code Sample | START qemu.exe -L . -m 128 -hda boot.img -enable-audio -localtime |
and that is where i get the above error.... am I doing something wrong here?.... is there a specific image file I should be trying to start qemu from? any help will be greatly appriciated
