Hello !

I'd like to know how to customize my DSL-Embbeded, I follow these tutorials : Remastering Guide for re-mastering and this one : Larger HD to enlarge my disk.

But I don't how to put these file in this distribution.

Hi LeSanglier!

It's quite easy to remaster dsl-embeddes since you just have to remaster the Knoppix-image without making an iso file and burn to cd. Look at the end of the page 36 in Rematering HOWTO for DSL under the HOWTO section in this forum. When it comes to use a rezised harddisk in qemu you just have to delete the old one and replace it with the new one. Hope this can be of any help!

I succeeded !

I made a tutorial for customizing and remastering DSL : http://sitelibre.free.fr/knoppix/knoppix.html
It is in french, but it is very easy to understand.

hi meo,

so essentially, you're saying that all .iso images could theoretically be used on embedded type flash ram disks (like compact flash) if they had not been converted to iso format?

would they be tar.gz format? or a file structure?

i'm curious and it seems you know how this works.

would this also imply that distributions such as openzaurus could be made into bootable cd's simply by converting them to iso w/ mkisofs?

thanks for any sort of reply - i'm tryin to figger it all out.
