!!NOTE!!
I realized after posting that my title and description look like a Thread Starter, my apologies, please admin if you could fix it so it looks like a request for a new forum and not me starting an unauthorized one. Please no one use this thread as a Frugal Install thread, I posted to request a forum for our use not to hijack the request forums. My Apologies for any Confusion.
Rob
!!END NOTE!!

Hi everybody!
Not sure if this is the right forum to make a request for a specific forum, but after much searching and not yet finding, though i'm sure the answers exist somewhere in here....I am wondering if we could have a specific forum dedicated to Frugal HDD installs and its related Q&A's.

It'd sure streamline my searches, and could also cut down on server load if we had a forum to choose from for our specific issues related to Frugal Installs and other various Frugal related Questions.

Thanks for any consideration on this request, and as always Thanks for the greatest 50mb's my little laptop has ever known!

Rob

I think the main reason there isn't a frugal forum is that frugal and liveCD have the same behavior...any questions that can be asked about DSL in general can be applied to both.  Having a separate forum for frugal will likely result in the same questions being asked anyway.   Those people running liveCD would think the frugal forum does not apply to them, and miss out on answers or have a harder time finding them.

The only real difference i can think of is that it uses a different bootloader than liveCD.

Ah yep i understand now that i've made it all the way through a frugal install. Now I'm understanding the similarities, I had only done a HDD install before, So i guess i wish this thread to die sorry for the bad idea lol. And thanks for the post it makes perfectly good sense once you understand the finer point of the 2 installs. Wish I'd not even bothered with the HDD install, Frugal is the only way to fly(or pendrive)

Thanks again Mikshaw you rock
