Hello,

please do not missunderstand my postage.

I like DSL an it is that what i/we want and what i use.
It was just the point that 2.6 is possible in any kind with a size at 50MB.

Also sometimes it might help to look what others are doing to bring the own projekt forward or to get fresh ideas.

I found the SLAX distro which may be a better fit for me.

So far with my testing, DSL is far quicker and more responsive but there are some nice full apps with SLAX and the video performance is much better.

@frankseu: while being a nice package, that 50mb one is a custom built rescuedisk / forensic tool, not a full system like DSL tries to provide.

There certainly is a need for that kind of functionality as you can try to modifiy it into a standalone system-on-a-stick if you have a 512MB USB stick to make it 100% legally safe.

I know what it is and what DSL is and what the intension of DSL is. That's not the point i meant.

What is wrong with looking what others are doing and then decide if you can pick up ideas or not.
In case yes -> fine.
In case not -> fine.

I am still dreaming of a DSL with more base support of different filesystems, more hardware support usw.

Again :
I never said xyz is better then DSL ore something like that. I yust said that there are others wich do also nice stuff.
Let us watch them.
I know what DSL does for me and other distris don't. I also know what others can and DSL not.
I choosed DSL. But i am still dreaming about having the best from all not knowing to do it myselve.
What is wrong with dreaming ?

I am totaly happy with the work of the devs and thank them for the great DSL.
