how can i recreate the iso so i can fill it with 600mb+ mp3's visible in dos, windows and hopefully DS linux? i want nothing changed in DSL itself, except maybe the default wallpaper. a windows method is preferred. thanks in advance.

My advice is to boot DSL and then use the mkmydsl.sh script to build your own custom DSL iso and then burn it to CD.

Most people use the script to add mydsl extension files to the base DSL system and create a new iso, but you can also use it to add any type of file like mp3s for example.

When you boot your custom ISO, the added files will be located in /cdrom

Wouldn'i it just be better to leave the files in a separate vfat partition and mount them from the respective OS's?

Remastering an iso just to add mp3's is a bit overkill...

I used that "how to" to build dsl .iso, boot went nice but as i played with the files for too long it couldnt find kernel image so it didnt work :)
But the main thing is that the iso worked as it was supposed to work.

my aim is not to waste a standard cdr. in my area, the cost of a card sized cdr is the same or higher than regular 700mb cdr's. that way i have mp3 backups and emergency OS in one cd. thanks.
