I tried to use xfree86.dsl from my dsl extensions panel but I didn't succeed. Manual installation requires a little practice. Could you add a button for screen refresh to work as easy as xvesa button when changing screen resolution?

Only xfree86.dsl will support changing of refresh rates.

The problem is that for me configuration instructions for xfree86 are too difficult. I am interested if xfree86 can be added in dsl panel to work easyer with like other settings posted there.
Regards, A.

I'm sure it *could* be, but it probably won't be.  XFree86 and other myDSL packages are created and supported by users, not by the DSL developers, so the DSL distro will probably not be changed to accomodate particular extensions.

There is an xf86config package available that provides a script to help with configuring xfree86, but honestly it isn't a great deal friendlier than modifying XF86Config by hand.

It's really not *that* hard... there's just a couple steps that will take you a few minutes to get it set up to a basic level.

If you wish to try installing it, this forum can always help :) (or irc, etc.)
