Are there any plans to add bootsplash to DSL?

This would be nice to have when it is being used in a public area and you don't want to 'scare' people with the boot text :-)

I doubt there are any plans to include it, as it provides no actual enhancement or increased useability to the distro.

This is just my opinion, though...I can't speak for the developers.

what's so scary with the colorful boot text ? which actually tells you what's going on.

There was a recent post from a user who had gotten a bootsplash to work, but had problems trying to get teh progressbar working..
You might want to ask him about his progress.
