So a slightly strange suggestion but one that would have some mileage for me,
and hopefully others, and it wouldn't (again, hopefully) upset anyone else;

would it be possible to have an automatic deletion of a list of given files in the
same manner as a .dsl or .tar.gz at the myDSL loading point of the boot??
To clarify this, I mean just after the .dsl's and .tar.gz's are loaded a file
containing a list of files with full path names is read and those symbolic links
are deleted from the /ramdisk.

Two reasons; firstly, some possible .dsl's will require the removal of existing
libraries or other remnants from packages to be replaced. Secondly, I would
hope it would (finally) end any need for people to consider remastering.

Obviously such deletions can be done with an included script in a .dsl to be
run after start-up but an "at boot" facility would be very tidy.

Sorry just to refine the request; could the deletions be performed prior to the .dsl's and .tar.gz's
being loaded in.........

All the best, cheers, nucpc
