I have a fairly new Dell Desktop, with P4, 1 GB Ram, and I downloaded the syslinux version of 0.9.2 for use with it. Previously, I could not get the isolinux version to boot. From the notes:
Quote | Robert put together a SysLinux version of 0.9.1. You folks who have older hardware which isn't compatible with IsoLinux can now boot the latest version of DSL from a CD like everyone else. |
This is great, as many new computer users are going to get a Dell, and all of those need to be able to run DSL. --- I hope this dual-version option is going to be available on new DSL versions, for a while, at least. Very good work, Robert, and all of us thank you. I still can't get over how neat it is to have Firefox in there! ---
