I would like to have a CD burner included in the distro, in order to have a 'self contained' OS, without the need to have another OS to produce copies of Damn Small.
I suggest X-CD-Roast because it seems to be small.

HI,
there IS a CD-burning prog in DSl.
bash-burn - pretty nice by the way...
it uses CDRECORD as any/most 'GUI's do anyway.
X-cdroast is just a GUI/frontend also.
but as bash-burn uses bash-commands only its far smaller and quite efficient.
I myself prefer other NEW tools over a more(?) sophisticated frontend.
But I must admit Im the minimalistic/efficient kind of guy - maybe other think different. But efficiency is the very soul of DSL as I think.
That the most significant difference to others (and there are many, many others)...
Give yourself 30 minutes to get to learn bash-burn. Its worth it.
Maybe you will then decide to be happy with it and have a look for a bigger linux-distro when it comes to bigger frontends?
Have fun :o)

Thanks Enthusi.
I preffer, as you do, small and efficient apps, better than sophisticated and colourfull ones; but if there is this front end in the distro, does it minds that there is the main application somewhere, or must I to find it out from some other distro and install it before to try to use the front end?

FYI,

If you want a CD burning program (GUI front end) like XCDRoast, try GCombust.

It is very small (less than 184k uncompressed. Even smaller when part of a compressed file system).

Below is a link to the GCombust Install Script. Give it a try.

Thank you.

I assume from your answer and the information in the indicated link, that CDRecord is the base application for burning CDs, and that in the DSL distro there is all we need to burn CDs. I will try it.
