Quote (Ono Tadaki @ Dec. 08 2003,15:42) | Are there any versions of linux created to fit on a mini cdr (the 210MB discs)? If not, this would be a nice addition to DSL. A mid version with a manual, more features, still on a small disc, and live. |
How funny, I came here today with the idea to start a thread identical to this one. It would be very nice, IMO, if DSL could 'also' be extended (I mean of course a second version) Keeping the same basic idea, and fluxbox as it is now. Add for instance Xfce4 and maybe Icewm, and certainly a more standard Xserver. Morphix LightGui is not too bad, but I have (serious) problems with the internet, and besides the developer doesn't have much time to keep it up to date, also because Morphix comes in 4 different flavours. Basically, apart from Morphix and Vector, there is nothing medium sized and yet fully featured. But I have problems with both (Morphix and Vector) I believe there is a big need for something like that. Especially because plenty of people come to various forums asking which distro to use on their older computers. Plus quite a few people who don't like 'bloat' So I am all in favor of this idea
