DSL Rocks !

Was wondering how we can upgrade the rdesktop from version 1.2.0 to 1.3.1. Have tried using some rpm versions but it complained about missing libraries.

1.3.1 has 16bit support which makes a big diff  :D

The one-and-only thing that bothers me, is the fact that i can't just press the enter key to connect.  I have to type in the address/ip -a 16 etc, and then click on a button to connect.  Please please please allow the enter key!   :-)

I agree that rdesktop should be upgraded for a newer version of DSL, assuming

1) The size doesn't increase dramatically
2) The new version has important functionality that is missing from the existing version.

In the meantime, you could build a MyDSL extension for rdesktop 1.4

Boot from livecd
Enable APT
Change /etc/apt/sources.list to point to "stable" instead of "oldstable"
apt-get update
apt-get install rdesktop
Run the deb2dsl script to make a new DSL extenion.

Or you can download the file directly from:

http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian....386.deb

and install via:

sudo su
dpkg -i rdesktop_1.4.0-2_i386.deb
