Hello DamnSmallWorld
I noticed DSL fee times ago, and find it really nice, as a basis for many good things : a cool linux for weak machines like my african friends have, and a basis for building a distribution (thanks for dpkg.tgz:) corresponding to their needs.
Anyway, it seems that in DSL-0.48 the cloop-0.6 is used. Since knoopix 3.3 (and last 3.2) the new cloop-utils is used, and it is not compatible with 0.6x
So remastering from a newer version is not possible (or at least need to change the cloop kernel module), and i think that "apt-get upgrade" can cause trouble to DSL (with uncompatible boot.img and kernel module)
Maybe it could justify a jump to DSL-0.6 ?
Regards Alain
