For those liveCD users who wish to have complete control of their menu. Or maybe you wish to add cbagger's rox or opera to the menu now. This is how:
You must be using 0.5 version and using the backup and restore option.

From XShell rxvt screen and as regular user damnsmall:

1. cp /etc/X11/fluxbox/fluxbox-menu  /home/damnsmall/.fluxbox/.

2. using your favorite editor, edit .fluxbox/init
   search for the line   menuFile
   replace the /etc/X11/fluxbox with /home/damnsmall/.fluxbox
   the line should look like:
   session.menuFile      /home/damnsmall/.fluxbox/fluxbox-menu
   file and save the new init file.

Now your menu is under your control. It is persistent via the backup and restore options. You can use your edit program to add or move about menu entries. If you mess up real bad, just copy over the system fluxbox-menu and start over.

For example to add opera to the menu, using your favorite editor, edit your local fluxbox-menu from above.

Search for bandwidth, add a new line just below the FireBird line.

     exec] (Opera) {/home/damnsmall/.start_opera}

file and save your changes and you should be ready to go.

Yes, it will load your settings. It is quite fexible. You control what gets backed up.
And rememebr, you can even bypass the X window setup questions by using the boot up option:

boot:  knoppix restore

When a new version (CD) comes out, read the notes to see what's new. Or boot up from the new CD to see whats new. Then use the "restore" option to use your settings and if necessary add the new changes to your settings. It is really to give the user more control of their environment, especially for liveCD users.
