Ouch

I've always felt that menus and icons were a duplication of effort.

It's probably my desire for an uncluttered worktop......but it always struck me that the essence of DSL was
one of restraint in hardware demands.

Speaking of restraint it should also be invoked for "torquise leisure suits" and their wearers

Mission accomplished - I now have a desktop with only the icons I want. The rest are in the menus, which also contain my extra apps. Very sweet and clean

They are pretty easy to change, once you know how. Each icon has a link and a gif in /home/damnsmall/.xtdesktop or whatever user desktop you are using.

For icons you don't want just move them to another directory. I made an extra directory there called saved. Open one of the the .lnk files with a text editor and you will see that its location, gif, and command is easily changed.
