Well, it's a gcc error :(

Weirdly, I didn't get the gcc error the second time I tried - after adding the headers/libs from mesa-6.5.2, the kdrives apparently compiled.

I have:
Code Sample
$ ls /mnt/sdb1/source/xorg/kdrive
Xati       Xephyr     Xfake      Xi810      Xmga       Xnvidia    Xr128      Xvesa
Xchips     Xepson     Xfbdev     Xmach64    Xneomagic  Xpm2       Xsmi       Xvia

I can probably test Xi810 (video memory issues permitting) and Xmga. Do the kdrives accept the same arguments as the default dsl Xvesa? Is there any trick to testing them?

If you don't have the chipset, you can't start them. Believe me, I tried :)

I think the newer ones accept more options than DSL's Xvesa. And they got even more updates in Xorg 7.3, with hot-plugging monitors and stuff ;)

Xfake probably ain't needed, what do you think?

How are the sizes compared to mine & do they all work on plain DSL? Just wondering if they'd be a good replacement for my versions too..

If those TinyX servers are anything like the ones currently in the repository (i.e., no extra dependencies outside of the mydsl package it is in), pack it up and send me the xati to test. I have both a thinclient with an ATI Radeon 7000m and a desktop with ATI Radeon 9800. Xvesa too if it allows for changing the display frequency. Oh and xfbdev and xvia, as Im picking up some more thinclients with them.

I thought the ones currently in mydsl can already change the refresh rate?
