I was generalizing, and the default for blowfish is 128-bit. I like bcrypt (especially on USB between Linux and Windows) and am glad it's in the latest RC. Good job!

About the best a non-expert can do is to google and look for criticisms of the particular prog or ways to use it better.

Between DSL's size constraints, speed, and ease of use, my vote is for bcrypt. The fact that it plays well between different operating systems is a very big plus, too. Users who desire additional features or need more secure encryption are most likely going to have their own ideas and can extend however they see fit.
