Here is vim.uci put together by Mikshaw.  Please run it through its courses and report how it performs.

This looks great.  Having the help and the tutorial is a big advantage.  I would put in a positive vote, but I peeked at the results so it says I've already voted.

This is probably a stupid question, but here goes. When in the terminal I type 'vim test' and it says 'vim: command not found'. Can I use vim in the terminal or is it just the graphical app? Thanks for any help.

uci/tar.gz extensions are not installed into the default path, so you'll need to use the full path to the program (/opt/vim/bin/vim), or make a symlink to it in your path, or modify your path to include /opt/vim/bin, or make an alias.
