i successfully installed the latest dsl on a ibm thinkpad 600 and it detected everything fine.  the only problem was in the color hues were way off. blues showed as green etc. so I ran one of the utilities -- xvesa i believe and selected 1024x768 mode which is native for this laptop. I selected USB when it asked about my mouse in the next screen. after reboot the colors are now perfect but my laptop mouse is not working. i think it's ps2.

I have no idea how to launch xvesa again in DSL without a mouse. there are no keyboard shortcuts to launch anything it seems like. plugged in a usb mouse and no go.

I guess i need to set something at Grub but no idea what. Please help this newb.

Use ctrl+alt+backspace to get you to commandline and run xsetup.sh
