depends on how you connect, i suppose.  For dialup I copied my /opt/ppp directory over from 2.0 to 2.1 and it works perfectly.

oh oh im on cable modem router. For some reason.. on the earlier version that i indicated above... all 4 machines connects to the internet right away upon boot up !

on the newer version.. none of the 4 machines connects  :(

Are you connected to the cable modem through USB or ethernet?I have ADSL connected with ethernet.No problems with the live CD but I think I had to configure dhcp on the hard drive install.

Funny thing on DSL 2.0 my Lucent modem is only detected with a frugal toram hard drive install.Normal hard drive install and live CD do not.With DSL 2.1 RC1 and RC2 my Lucent modem is always detected.
