Juanito, thanks for the feedback and all your efforts to bring acpid to DSL. I should have realized that /usr/local/bin is not in the default path of a root process. I will add the full path to correct this.

There was some consideration for the updating of kernel. Anything about it in the release?

Therefore I will skip 3.4 and wait for 4.0.

What I didn't fully understand yet, was this thing with the lib in 3.4 RC1.
Why does Opera 9.x need it?
I have DSL 3.2 running with Opera 9.x quite well.

Thanks

If you don't use libXft you'll need to explicity disable them in order to fallback to bitmap-only fonts.  The file to be edited is /etc/opera6rc (and the only one under *nix I think...) but that is the only thing preventing it from being a (proper) uci.

If you load libXft, it will take care of everything.  So it would be my guess that freetype fonts and such could also be used.  (if you just want to do this without grabbing this RC, I think it is in the gnu-utils extension)
