I like DSL, but would like to try dsl-n.

I need to know how to use dsl to make the dsl-n bootdisks,

the disks are different sizes, and I understand that linux can create floppies of different size, but how do I know from the size of the image the size of the floppy?

How do I use dsl to invoke the disk image copying/formatting etc.I tried

dd if=filename of=/dev/fd0

but get the no space left on device error, and the resultant disk is useless.

I seem to remember that you have to be able to write about 1.7MB to a 1.44MB floppy to make a DSL-N boot floppy - isn't there something about this on the (now defunct) DSL-N forum posts?

I looked but couldn't find anything.

I have seen other 1.7M floppies (tomsrtbt for example) but these had a script which setup the floppy and did the copying for me.

Is DSL-N defunct? I thought it was still being developed.

I think DSL-N is in suspended animation but the forum was closed and moved to a section of the DSL forum.

Looking at my DSL-N boot usb stick, the linux file is 1,529KB and the minirt.gz file is 863KB, so it's not obvious (to me at least) how even a 1.7MB floppy would be useful to boot from usb.

I see, I suppose that this should have been placed in the DSL-N forum here, but to be honest I hadn't seen it. I did search the old forum for the answer, and looking here I can not find one either.
