Quote (jls legalize @ Dec. 25 2007,16:30) | 1)hitting ctrl-alt-F1 and then ctrl-alt-F2 again I can see only for a sec another black screen with something written that I cannot read cause then I see again the desktop. 2)I have the mydsl optional on a fat32 partition and during the boot process I see this message: /usr/bin/desktop.sh: line 26: /mnt/hda1/mydsl/bin:$PATH".app: invalid argument chmod: mnt/hda1/mydsl/bin:$PATH".app no such file or directory. 3) unplugging and replugging a my usb pendrive gives error 4) the frugal grub install doesn't remove all the # from the beginning of the lines regarding windows, so windows cannot boot.

It would be helpful to know which MyDSL extension is giving you this error. From your post, it would appear that said extension is not standards compilance. But until I know which one, I cannot be sure. Not much I can do to improve hotplug. It has already been discussed.
Thanks for the find with frugal_grub.sh. With the introduction of the "checkfs" entry caused the uncomment for windows to become skewed. Will correct.
