Perhaps this is answered in previous post is so,please pardon me I do not know how to find this specific item
Problem is: When I hd-install (in hdc1 or hdc2) and reboots......nothing happens I must use debian's rescue disk, continue with instalation (make root's password dsl password) enter as root edit lilo.conf and there change mannualy boot /dev/hdc for /dev/hda then make lilo and then yes future bootings go well
Anybody had this problem? Is any way to avoid it? Or...only way is editing lilo after 1st booting?

must admit I can't say i've seen this and I always use hd install , what are your system specs......
the install script is meant to ask you too run mkliloboot before closing down for reboot, have you checked the md5sum on your iso as this don't sound normal....

This problem is happening since my first approach to dsl (0.59)
I have 2 HD: hda1 with windows (sorry ) hda5 with Knoppix Hd-installed hda6 is the swapp And hdc1 or hdc2 are my experimental partitions where I ussually install new distros (until i found THE distro) I'm trying to establish DSL as my 'official' Linux Distro and really I'm using it two weeks ago exclusivelly (in Live CD version)

is it a poormans, frugal or full hd install as the latter two would prompt  for mklilo boot If you have access to a cd burner i would grab a different copy of the iso and burn a new disk..... but check the md5sums first it could be fine....see cbaggers reply in the other section this may help

Ok as soon I returno home I'll check md5sum but have in mind that this prob has been there since 0.59 the guy who 'introduce' me dsl told me that it has  (hmmmm I think in 0.63 it was not but I've loosed that copy)
Ok anyway in a couple of hours I'll send you my md5 sum
