Greetings to all, my first post here.

I have just carried out a successful HD installation of DSL (the latest version downloaded this morning) and have a couple of questions:

I want to configure ndiswrapper and have inserted the CD with the windows driver but cannot explore the CD. As Root in the file manager I click on the cd but it just gives my an empty directory or in terminal cding to the cdrom and then doing ls -laF gives me an empty directory.

What am I doing wrong.

That's my first question, the others can wait, one step at a time.

Cheers
Titus

did you mount the CD?

right click on cdrom/ in emelfm and choose mount.

it helps a lot. ^_^

Sorry, tried that both in emelfm and in a terminal.

Success, on the first boot tonight I had several error messages regarding mounting and a request to reboot.
Following the reboot everything worked.
I have a working Linksys WPC11 v4 card.

How do I enalbe single clicking instead of double clicking?
Can I change the background to something a little less dark?

When I close the laptop lid the system goes to sleep, can I disable that.  I want to play mp3 files with the lid closed.

Has anyone any experience with GPS systems and DSL?

Thanks
Titus
